If there is trans fluid leaking from the bellhousing area (engine and trans come together, not being mean) That would input shaft seal or rarely a leaking torque converter. Either way if you have a leak you are probably low on fluid and with not enough fluid the trans is slipping and that would cause your CEL(check engine light) to come on for sure. The are going to tell you to fix the leak first before they go any further unless the CEL is on when you go in. Over all I think its time for another dealer and a lawyer if the owner doesn't step up.

My Lawyer said I have to take it to a shop. Have them look at it. ( Mony out of pocket) And have them make a written statement for the Falure and then he can do something. But can't do nothing until I get that Statement. So within the next couple weeks I'll be doing that. Till then. Do not go to Riverview Ford. in Oswego Illinois.
