Sounds good. My experience with the downshifting has not been good. I tow alot in the winter too and your not supposed to use the tow/haul mode for safety reasons which I can imagine is scarier than what I have already experienced on dry pavement. Glad you like it. I do think it is a pretty good auto tranny I just don't think it replaces a person(that knows how to drive one) and a stick. As for spooling up and the throw on the 6 speed, I agree. It did take a long time on the stock 6.0 liter but with the added HP on this 6.4 liter and the sequential turbos, I suspect that would almost be gone. My 6.0 liter with the chip in it had a hard time shifting fast enough before I was RPM'd out.

sounds like most are rec. the v10 for short trips and cold weather. not sure why but i am drawn to the dz but i wonder if that would change after driving it a few months. i will need to find a v10 to test drive. sounds like it is a more smooth engine vs the 5.4 (although i thought the v10 was just 2 more cylinders added onto the 5.4). the 5.4 certainly does not impress me in terms of refinement when compared to the toyota and nissan engines. tempted to try the dz first and if i really don't like it trade it on a v10 as the dz would sell faster/easier here.
