Hi,
I have my '08 on order (F350, Crew, 4x4, 6.4, 3.73's LS). I'm looking to get the proper break-in process in advance. I have been searching here for awhile and can't seem to find it documented anywhere. Can someone post a link to the documentation or let me know what the process is in detail?

The only place were you can find that info that I know of is in the owners manual, however, I do know that ford recomends not towing until you reach 500 miles and to alternate your speeds for the first 1,000 if I'm not mistaken.
Most people just don't use there cruse control and try not to make a long trip without alternating your speed.
I have always driven a minimum of 1000 miles on my Ford Diesels before towing and changed the oil at that time in addition to alternating RPM's frequently in the first few hundred miles.

yeah, you just glossed over that whole "ring break-in" part!
I think that article should be added to the 6.4 tech folder -- it's a pretty good description of the process, and why you do it, and why you do it in the order you do...
