The cover (sort of a fiberglass/cloth material) over the vacuum pump that is held on by three little cheapo pretend nuts.....is this a must keep item? Does anyone know it's purpose? Mine looks like crap and I am thinking about ditching it or if I have to replacing it. Anyone have any comments on this?
If yiu are talking about the esof pump that is just in front of the blower motor.I dont have any cover thingy on mine at all so I geuss its not needed.
Since my and Joe's trucks are almost identical, I'm just going to start quoting him and saying "Ditto" if he responds before I do. Now that I've said that....

Scott, looks like the former owner left there fender pad under there. Leave it to you to have a one of a kind truck. I see the thingy with the three clips, what is that thing in front of that? A fender pad, or something else you have that we don't?
