06' vs. '08??

Guys,

NOT COMPARING MOTORS, but everything else on these respective trucks.....

--Are they the same?? I mean, I know they look different, prolly some different features, etc. but is the "core" of the truck changed, i.e. suspension, frame, steering, etc??

I like the looks/newness of the '08, but I have an '06 that will be going to strictly biz use and I'll get another. I really like the 6.0, and obviously the truck is great. Just wondering if there are any changes to the core of the truck. Thanks guys, always blown away by the level of knowledge on this site.

not really the 08 rear leaf springs are about 8in longer than the 06's but besides the cosmetic changes the truck is still the same underneath

stronger maybe, weak in ways, possible.

o think it was change due to cost cutting, the lower bumper and to make it easier to pull the cab.

Every 2008 Super Duty frame now has a new front stub designed with safety in mind. By lowering the frame horns seven inches at the front, the new frame meets vehicle compatibility standards without the need for add-on components. The new design also improves cooling and provides a solid foundation for the hydroformed body structure.
