Gonna change the heater core in my 86 150 I6 and AC. I've changed heater cores before, but never on a truck. Any information you guys can provide is appreciated. Doesn't look tooo bad.
I think on mine there are a couple bolts on the inside, but the whole blower assembly and heater core come out from the engine compartment. This is on a 85 F150 351W W/O AC. Either way, I think they are easy.
Man, that was the absolutly easiest heater core I've ever changed....PERIOD! It came out from the inside. 8 screws and it fell out in my hands.
Of course now the flapper doors don't work right. Their stuck in the vent position. Oh well, I'll work on that tomorrow. My wife just came home and it's time to start to enjoy the Labor Day weekend. Everyone have a safe and good holiday weekend.
