One more Scan Gauge note. I got mine from MGT who advertises here. His Blend Mount fits the SG directly above teh rear view mirror. Looks great and works great.
We have a killer deal going on right now for the New Version (ver. 3.15) ScanGauge Plus a Custom Adjustable Mount, BOTH for $179.95
Hey sturzinator, how's that thing running on Bio and what rating are you using.. They just opened a 1 million gallon processing plant near here and so it ought to be coming down in price..I can get B-20...I can get it higher if I want custom mixed at delivery, but I need my own tank..
bigdog, where do u live? I'm tryin to find a bio plant around here in Iowa (Des Moines area). I don't know much about it, so do you just get it at a gas station or what? someone said something about having their own tank? what's the deal? thanks.
Sturzinator,I live in Silverdale,Wa.,so that's a bit from you.. I would check with your local cardlock fuel station.. We have Pacific Pride here in town that has it and there are a couple of people in the area who will deliver on road diesel and mix the bio for you..I haven't checked the price, but if I were to have it mixed,I'd have to buy a tank,etc...
I had purchased my Scan Gauge just about 30 days outside of the window to have it re-flashed at no additional charge. Oh well. I spent the $25 plus the shipping to get it to Linear Logic.
The only thing that I really wanted was to be able to read the trans fluid temp. Long story short, the gauge does not do anything now that it didn't due prior to me sending it off.
I put in the codes as instructed on the web site, but no new gauges are appearing. I would like the trans fluid temp and cylinder head temp to register. I contacted Linear Logic and pretty much all they had to say was "sorry, we don't guarantee what information a vehicle may or may not provide."
Yeah...maybe your 99's PCM doesn't provide that info. That stinks. Don't know why it wouldn't though... Maybe it does for the later models because we got a stock tranny temp guage.
I guess my biggest disappointment is that the Linear Logic guys don't even know what the Scan Gauge should be showing on my truck.
If the 99s don't provide the information, they should list that on their web site so people like myself avoid going through the expense and hassle for nothing, but they are not even aware of what should and shouldn't register on the gauge.
The insult to injury is the attitude of "We don't guarantee what will and will not work..."
In my opinion, poor product knowledge and poor customer service
I was thinking of geting Scan Gauge for my 2000 V10 X 4x4. Would like to know if anybody DO get TRANS TEMP. Don't wanna buy if I can't get trans temp. JUST like finding codes behind radio for door lock, it ain't there.
