Hey fella's. i have a ? for you guys.
The other day i flushed my tranny following an article that that i have read on several forums. it is where you break the line going from the tranny filter, to the tranny cooler. Put a hose on both ends, and the one coming out of the filter was supposed to be the only one pumping fluid out. when i did mine both lines pumped out fluid. I was wondering if when i did mine, if i was pumping out fresh fluid also. any help would be appriciated. thanx.
You can't flush a TorqShift using the article that's in the articles here. The TorqShift has a thermostat that changes the cooler flow when the trans is below 170F. If you can get the trans over 170 AND keep the fluid that you are adding hot you can do it. If you don't, you'll have problems like you saw.
