Wiring question

IM putting in a new harness and running an older dual point distributer in my 302. No electronic module box.
My instructions dont show the old points type so here I am.

I have a coil wire going to + on coil or?

Ignition switch wire to solenoid Switch side.

I need to know where my dist wire hooks up+ or - and my coil.

IM using a Rebel wire harness

The distributor wire hooks up to the negative side of the coil. Hope this helps. -Steve

Your positive coil wire goes to your balast resister or resister wire then on to the key. When you start the vehicle there is a second terminal on the starter solenoid that by passes the resister so you get a nice hot spark, that wire go's directly to the positive on the coil. The negative coil terminal has one wire to the points and "maybe" a wire going to a tachometer if you have one.
