anytime you change the height of the front of the vehicle you should have it aligned again and save you money down the road on tires. how much lift did you get out of just tightening the tortion bars?
I did have mine aligned after tightening the torsion bars.
I wanted to be careful as I've heard raising the height too much (like, 2-inches) via the torsion bars put the truck in a position that its alignment couldn't be adjusted for, so I went for more like 1.5"
My question as to the "keys" was sort of meant to ask if the keys took the suspension past the normal align-ability of the truck, or of they somehow helped keep the camber and other angles within the desired specs.
I'm still not sure what a key is, or what it looks like, but I can't imagine that that one part could both lift the truck and adjust the angles.
I have a 01 supercrew and I cranked up the torsion bars a 3 full turns and I gained 3/4" does anyone no what the max # of turns you can go? I only want to hit somewhere in the middle like 1.25" so it won't ride too rough or break anything!
I had done the same thing to my 98 ranger and I gained 2" in the front but I cranked it all the way and then backed it off 1 full turn!I also added a add-a-leaf and a 3" body lift I gained a total of 5" for $200 and could fit 35" tires on it!
