I'm looking for a ~3" lift kit for my truck. Sounds simple right? I thought so too until I started looking around. Seems every lift kit I can find is a LEVELING Lift Kit. Works great for most people, but my truck has the plow prep/6K front end and already sets level. I need 3" front and back not 3" front and 2" back. I've called around, asked if anyone could change out the rear blocks, etc. No luck so far.
Anyone have any ideas who could help me out for a reasonable cost? Not looking for spend $1000+ on an off road racing system. Just a basic lift with radius arm and track bar drop brackets and maybe extended shocks would work great.
Rough country has one for less than $500, looks perfect for my needs. You guessed it, 2" blocks in the rear and they can't/won't change them out for 3" blocks and longer u-bolts. It seems stupid to buy a complete lift kit and have to turn around and buy new lift blocks/u-bolts for the rear for more money.
Check out pro-comp. I did some research and in my opinion I think the lift kits make the truck look awesome. Trouble is that these suspension modifications decrease capability and may void your warranty. Just think the truck is pretty cool as it is. Good luck.

They make a great product, just a bit pricey for me.

Thanks for the reply but I really want one that even front/back.
I'm shocked that I can't find a 3" lift thats even front/back.
Does anyone have a "friend" somewhere that would be able to put a kit together for me? Or does anyone want to trade rear blocks with me? I like that rough county kit(great price as well). I need 3" rear blocks instead of 2" blocks. Maybe swap out rear blocks? Not likely I know, but thought I'd ask anyway.

I understand your wants for a lift kit like this to make the truck look even. I've worked at one of the best ford truck dealerships and if there is one thing I've learned there's more to it then just an inch of extra block, with that inch you get a different drive line angle then the lift calls for and will most defiantly have a vibration you don't want. In order to compensate for that sometimes it's not as simple as a center carrier adjustment. On hard take off your still going to have the axle jerk upwards. All of this is taken into account with good lift kits. Cheap ones not so much. If you want the extra inch you've got to look at the geometry of everything and calculate how much other parts need to change to maintain the same functions without vibrations or harshness. Sounds like you want something custom, so you might have to find someone to do the math and make something custom. It's probably not going to be cheap but if done right it will be just that, right.
He's not trying to get that intricate guys, he's saying that since he has the plow package (as do I) the front already sits level with the back instead of 1" lower like all the trucks without the snow plow package. Most lifts are made for trucks without the plow package that sit 1" lower in the front so the blocks are offset one inch. He needs a lift kit that lifts the truck an equal amount in front and back. I was looking into the same problems as you but since I pull a 5er I unfortunately probably wont lift mine. If you get on the phone with some companies I'm sure someone will be able to help you out, after all there are a fair amount of guys out there with the plow package and same dilemma as you.

Couldn't have said it better myself, and it's my thread....lol.
I've called a couple companies and got about the same responses. All the lift kits are prepackaged and can't be separated. I understand it's cheaper for them but doesn't help me.
When surfing around for who knows what I did stumble across a site that sold all sizes of rear blocks, you just picked which ones you wanted. Maybe icon?? Basically you'd just measure your blocks add 3" then order the corresponding block from the site. As far as the prepackaged kits you'd just be stuck buying there block and then would have to toss it. But you could possibly find other 250 guys who want to buy it. My dually sits level which in my opinion isn't how a dually should be so am thinking about getting 2" taller blocks to give it some rake ( I have snow plow prep too).
edit: So Icon dynamics shows a 4" 5" and 6" block available and ready lift shows their 5" block available separately and claims it raises an F250 3"s in the rear.
if you get the rough country 3 inch kit with the front springs included for $500 your truck will sit level. i installed it on my 2006 v10 f250. i was thinkn of doing the same with my 2011 f250 because i have the same problem
