I got foglights, but they were not on it when I got the truck, I added them and used a relay that had a trigger from the parking lights. I like it because when I would pull into someones house late, I would just go to runnings and the fogs would illuminate the ground.
It's my lucky night! Been trying for two months to determine if my fog lights were burnt out/ malfuncioning / or just not hooked up. Went as far as taking off the license plate and rooting around behind the bumper to see if the plugs were hooked up. Just went out after reading this thread and shazaam! Fog lights!
well im glad all ya`ll are having good luck. When i left work at 11pm tonight, i was headed up the interstate and shazaamm no running lights. My dash lights went out and also parking lights and tail lights. Now im stumped, no blown fuses and my airbag light is on. Blinkers work fine. Oh well guess i`ll take it aprat in the morning. guess it could be the switch
Check the #17 fuse for continuity, as well as all the fuses for interior & exterior lights, #35 & #41 for the dash. After someone broke into the truck and ripped off my stereo, I faced the same issue. Here's that thread link....
If it's not a fuse, it's the switch. Lighting just doesn't work one minute, "go out" the next. The electrical systems in these trucks are as stout as I've seen.
