Does anyone know what could possibly be wrong with my fog lights not working? I have actually checked the bulbs, and the fuse, but don’t understand the wiring or were it goes. Everything looks like it is in place, but don’t know anything else to check. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
When you pull out on the switch does the fog light indicator light up? If not (and you checked everything else) then the switch is probably bad. I smoked my switch playing around with wires one night and the fog lights wouldn't work and no indicator light. Replaced the switch and it's good to go.
This may sound really smart, but what switch do you pull out on? I thought they should turn on when you turn your lights on, or parking lights. It that not true?
It is not a new truck, I baught it used. It is a 2003 f-250 4x4 7.3 Ltr
The headlight switch and don't worry about it. I searched for a week trying to figure out how to work the fog lights when I first bought my truck and then I read the manual.
Turn the head lights on in low beam and then pull out on the switch and they should work.
Well I’ll be damn. TX Outlaw you are my new best friend. I’ve had this truck for about 8 months now, and never even knew the switch pulled out. When you first replied I thought you might have thought I had a different model or something. Thanks a bunch, and by the way nice Rig!!!
Any problem you have with your truck has happened to someone before, and if you ask they will tell. Like Texas Outlaw said, dont feel stupid we all have been there. Welcome to FTE
Haha, i got the switch that pulls out, but it doesnt turn my fog lights on. I wonder if anyone can guess why it wouldnt turn them on. Its actually simple but I like confusing people.
