Once again, bean didnt give me any of your personall info. If i had your phone number id call you and give you a nice piece of my mind instead of posting on the forum and slinging crap in other peoples threads.
The 17 spools about like a stock turbo with 1.15 housing. I was running stage 2's when i made the swap to the h2e. There was no loss in driveability with the swap.
Well to mod the H2E what is done then? What is different?
Also when you say an H2E is 17 or 19, you said cm. Is that supposed to be mm? Or is that volume and not diameter? Please clear me up on this issue somebody.
Luke, when you switched to H2E it sounds like you didn't gain or loose anything. Am I correct? I assume except for reliability

Like bean mentioned the stock compressor wheel is 62mm and the modded version is a 66mm wheel. There is some machien work needed to make the 66mm fit in there. I picked up right at 50rwhp by having my h2 modded, but i had alot of fuel (smoke) left to burn.
It is in cm's, not sure what that translates into but a 17cm housing is the smaller one. I know of several guys running large injectors with a modded h2e and swapped to the 19cm to help drop drive pressure.
When i switched to the h2 from the stocker i actually lost hp on the dyno, but went nearly a 1/2 second faster at the track with no other changes. Its been long enough now i cant remember what egt's did.
So If I have stage II's and I get a H2e I may loose HP on the dyno but will perform better on the strip or the road? It sounds like that is what I want since I pull fairly regularly. Would you agree? Also it sounds like I would not benefit that much with the modded version on my rig. Do you agree?
I understand it is for high end power not off the line.
All in all I just don't want to dump my turbo in the engine and if I see performance gain that is even morebetter. The stock turbo worries me a bit with II's and especially pulling like I do. These are future mods I am just getting educated. BTW Thanx again.
Luke what do you think about 1's and the H2E. would it be pretty laggy? not enough fuel? I am quite certain I could build the whole works and buy the turbo and do it pretty cheap compared to buying the set up. What do you think?
TJ, absolutely loving the stage I's and D66. The truck runs great. A little, eansy, weansy bit of lag, and then whhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhesh, gone. havent tried wrapping my boost guage yet because my clutch slips like all he!! with the stage I's over about 2500rpm w/ my foot burried. ive hit mid 20's so far and that was at about 3/4 throttle in 5th gear. cleared the smoke really well for me. now it only smokes when i want it to, and considerably less than with the stock turbo. keep an eye out in ur pm box, ive got something in the works right now.
