Post To much cam?

I have a 352 with an edelbrock carb and manifold. I want to put a Comp 268H cam in it but someone told me that, that is too much lift for the stock valve springs. Is it?

Travis, it might be too much lift for the stock springs. How much lift does a 268H have ? Why are you considering this cam ? What do you want the engine to do for you ? DF

Actually it has fast opening and closing ramps so it wears out the stock springs fast, thats what it did on my 390.It will work with the stock valve train and have enough valve clearance. With a stock 390,with headers, performer intake,750 holley,it pulled my 4700 pound pig F250 to a 15.5 in the quarter. It still has enough vacuum for power brakes.I emailed you with more info.
