You would think so, but there are so many variables that you can't see or control it's hard to predict. It's just as likely that the K-40 in this example might work better for you.
My point is someone else's experience with a certain antenna may not be the same as your experiences with the same antenna.
Do not, ever, coil your antenna cable. The antenna cable (coax) should be as short as possible. Any extra should be trimmed. Coiling the excess coax and tying it off creates a choke, which will make your CB very very quiet.
