There's two ways to do it. One way would be to get the computer and wiring from an IDI diesel E4OD truck. The second way would be to get a complete setup from Baumann Engineering. They make a stand alone E4OD controller.
Make sure that the E4OD you get was from a 300/302/351 or it won't fit the engine.

Just get an AOD. Its close in strength compared to the small block E4OD, and NO COMPUTER, but you do have to be carefull when rigging up the throttle cable.
E4OD has a wider 1st and 2nd gear ratio, but the AOD has the wider overdrive ratio, FYI.
I run the buamanator TCS and it works well, but its $550 for the computer and harness, and then you have to program it.

Go AOD, but read here about beefing and what years to get. (early models no go)
