Hello, newbie here, actually a newbie to ford period. Just bought a 1986 class motorhome e-350 chassis with a 460 in it. Being the age of the camper, I no longer had to do emissions testing.....so I ripped everything out. My question is about the EGR, I'm planning on replacing the intake with Edelbrocks performer series, and matching carb. Because the stock intake is egr, can I replace it with a non-egr intake? Is there any benefits? If not, and have to keep the egr, which vacuum port is needed for the egr?

go for it ,chances are the egr passages are plugged up anyway.

Was the 460 originally carburated?

 

Yeah it was, just replacing the original intake and carb with edelbrock performer series 2611 & 1411.
