Aviator climate control installation?
I am trying to replace the climate control module on my Aviator. The trim was scratched and bits of paint were coming off the buttons. However I can't get the cup holder bezel off to access the bottom screw. There is supposed to be a tab at the rear which is depressed but I can't find this tab and have tried even to push up from underneath the console. Does anyone know how to remove it? Ford wants $380 plus tax for something that takes about 30 minutes to do. Below are the instructions.

NOTE: The shift control bezel is only partially climate control assembly screw.
removed from the floor console to allow
removal of the floor console center finish panel.
Depress the tab at the rear of the shift control

I did remove that. The thing seems like it's just stuck on the driver's side and won't come out. I suspect the "tab" is there but I can't seem to wedge anything in to push on it without possibly damaging the surrounding trim.
