Air bag light continually blinks

Air bag light continually blinks

On my 94 F150, the air bag light continually blinks in this pattern...1-2-3...1-2
And again 1-2-3...1-2
Driving down a washboard road I believe started this. What needs to be done to eliminate this problem?

under the rubber in front of the radiator are two sensors for the air bag.

with the car off unbolt these and clean the ground connection and than rebolt them and see if that does it.

yep. im thinking clock spring as well.

yes I would say clock spring. I have the same problem with my Aerostar. So My horn does not work and no cruise control. The clock spring from Ford is around $160.00 cdn. here in Canada

Order from either of the 2 sponsers, Y2K or Direct Ford Parts. The value of the US dollar & the Canadian Dollar are equal this week. Should be less than a $100.

Is it so important to have a good clockspring? To me it doesn't affect my driving at all. I only use the horn perhaps once a year when my wife's late getting to the truck for church mass. And the airbag is intact. Can I find and install a used one?
$100 or $160 is a lot to pay for something that doesn't affect driving.
