Air bag light code 41 repair

Air bag light code 41 repair
My Explorer air bag light came on this morning and the light blinks 4 then 1. I looked up what 41 is on the air bag code and it gave me.
41 Crash Sensor Circuit - High Resistance or Open
Can I fix this myself? Where do I even start to look so I can repair it?

I personally would not touch any air bag myself, for a cuple of reasons:
1. It's against the law
2. It's extremly dangerous- you will either set it off or prevent it from coming on in a crash
3. If the insurance company finds out, holy crap!
4. You're messing around with a crucial saftey feature... just as you wouldent attach the seat belt to a different bracket because you need the one it's attached to, I would not mess with the air bag.
5. If someone got hurt or killed because of something you did, you could never live it down. It's certanily worth whatever cost to insure you saftey and the saftey of others.
that's my 2 cents, but if you still want to, to each their own. But I would take something that serious to the ford dealer, not just the gas station.
