crazy letters on odometer
I have a 04 f150 fx4, it doesnt have the message center just basic odometer. I read on here once before about pushing and holding the reset button to see the rpms on the digital readout so I tried it and all kinds of crazy stuff would cycle thru with a push of the button........checked the owners manual and couldnt find any info....can someone please tell me what all the abbreveations were and what they meant

It shows all the DTC codes along with sensor input and output voltage. The shop manual shows there is 31 functions. Nothng in there will really help you out much but the tach and volt readings are kinda neat.

no its not the compass....push the the trip button and hold it in before you turn the key to the on position and hold it until you turn the key then is when the differant readouts appear...like ford39 said the "dtc codes" are these the factory codes when theres a problem??
