alright guys, i was doin the 10k mod coonhunters way, and i put the connectors on, and made sure it was ok. i started the truck(without the 10k plugged in) and it started and stumbled on its self and stalled. so i rechecked the connections and then it was ok. then i put the resistor in, and started it, and it spit and spuddered and stalled. so i started it again, and it did the same thing, and set the check engine light. im gunna check tomorrow at school with a scanner, but what do u guys think is causing this? and now the tranny shifts are real firm, like too firm. i heard somewhere it does this when the cel is on? any help would be greatly appreciated.
i am confused on the initial start-up? did you say you started the truck without the connection at the icp? or did you connect it back as though it was stock and then started it? if you did the second you may not have a good connection, hard to beleive but its possible, as for the tranny that would be pure coincidence, the truck will run with the icp unplugged and has no effect on epc values
what color wire did you splice? should be dark blue with a light green tracer on a 95 model
alright, i have the connectors on and crimped, so i should have a good connection. i dotn have a resistor in, i want it to run right stock first. so the connectors are crimped into the wire that looks like a mouth when looking at the connector. i re-did the connections, and i have no more check engine light. and the scanner said i had low and high icp current. but no more check engine. now, when going down the road, the engine hickups, like, it will cut out then come right back. should i buy a new cps and put it in? anyone have any ideas? and i was rolling to a stop and truck was idleing and it stalled. any answers will help. thanks
that sounds likea cam sensor, rescan for codes since it hiccuped and stalled and you'll probably have a p0340\344, i cant see the icp throwing any codes at this point
well it did it again coming home. it stalled and i thought i was going to have to call a tow truck. but i popped the hood and i undid and redid the connection to the icp, started the truck and away i went, cel on. anyways, im gunna hook it up to the modis at school tomorrow, and im going to put in a new cps just to make sure. anyone have the part number from ford? is ford the way to go? and isnt there a new model that is better, but ford dealers dont know so u ask for it by number?? thanks guys.
