Well ive decided that I want to go big oil so im trying to figure out which set up to go with... I talked to jody and he really likes the terminator set up and I have the money to get it but i was wondering if anyone has any word on the stealth unit?? anybody have good things to say, jody said he heard there were alot of probs with it leakin, I dont know I just see that 500 savings being put towards a h2e kit as well... what about the BTS set up they dont have anything on the website as far as price or specs what does it run??? Any and all info and advice is greatly appreciated
The BTS IIRC is around 3000$. Its the most expensive, it stacks the pump up, whereas termy and stealth lay in the valley.
BTS and termy are nice systems by what i hear. I guess my future depends on how fancy i want. I got a 3" BL so ill have plenty of room to do other things lol.
No input on the stealth here, sorry. But John, they use two stock pumps, the top one still spins backwards, so they had some internals sent out and machined to make the pump run correctly in reverse. I've seen it on a few engines in their shop and it's a sexy unit.
That, i dont know. Hmm im guessing that if you use two 17* pumps it would be comparable. But wait now, the 530 is a bigger engine, maybe that displaces more oil? Either way, there is no way you are going to tax both pumps to the point where you would start loosing ICP.
Kris is right about the new BTS pumps - lower price and a reverse rotation 444 pump. I've got the older unit, but I am 100% happy with mine. I've never had an issue with mine. Output of the two 444 pumps, IIRC, is the same as the old system. True that the 530 is a bigger motor, but their injectors are also single shots and use less oil. They have a ratio of 6:1, compared to our stock injectors of 7:1. I can say that the exterior dimensions of the 530 pump and 444 pump are the same, to the best I can tell. I would imagine the internals are the same size too. The price drop in the BTS unit came from the 444 pump being less expensive than the 530 pump, and they pass the savings on to the customer.
I have no experience with the stealth or termy, but can tell you that Joey (of Terminator Engineering) is a super nice guy and from what I've seen is quite helpful with his customers.
I think either the BTS or Termy would work fine. Both have proven to work in trucks that make big power and both are backed by excellent customer service. As some have said before, pick your pony and ride it. If I were buying now, I'd still go with the BTS.
hey just from my point of view the whole thing is a waste of money. the hpop doesnt craete the 20 some odd thousand pounds of pressure for the injectors, the plunger does that internaly. so really all you need is oil supply to them reguardless of the psi. it has. not trying to step on any toes here just firgured i would share that with you.
