No the bad thing about the DIY kit is just that- you have to Do It Yourself... go out and buy all the fittings and hoses you need. It includes the adapter and only the parts you can't buy, and at over $900 its expensive for what you get.
The DIY kit now comes with all parts needed for $975. Don't hear too much about the gen 3 pump from swamps. Would like to know about that if anyone here has it. And I've heard plenty of times of the truck that got burned down running one of the older style.

There is a 7.3 (actually two) out there that use a mechanical injection pump with nozzles in the heads instead of unit injectors. The pumps come off of old v-8 mack truck engines. Im assuming a big deal of sarcasm from john. They sound almost like a mechanical cummins engine, due to the fact they are no longer "powerstrokes" with their classic HEUI inejction sytem.
To help answer those questions about cranking the pressure up on the HPOP.
It's very important that you remember there is a difference between volume and pressure.
You can have very high pressure with very little volume.
You can also have very high volume with very little pressure.
Trying to run the injectors at 5000 psi, but no volume to keep up with the increased demand will only result in the pressure dropping off precipitously.
Now with big oil set at 3000 psi max, that is the equivelent of putting dual quads on an old big block V-8 engine. Those dual carbs will feed that engine whatever it will be able to swallow without breaking a sweat.
Same with the dual HPOP. They are now working together and not ever having to max out to keep up with that 140 smoke tune. There is plenty of oil VOLUME to be able to maintain the desired 3000 psi PRESSURE.
Any questions?
It will put out what pressure the tuning calls for, most off the shelf tuning will run in the 3000psi range.
Of the ones I have seen dyno different pressures I have seen 10hp difference between 3000psi and 3800psi. I will tell you that there is an internal problem with injs trying to run mor ethen 3200psi, in some its not as apparent as others but if the problem pops up it can be detrimental to your engines health, i.e. fuel injection at very wrong times.
Im considering doing my own DIY stealth setup, since I got a 15* setting collecting dust in my garage. So does the kit come with everything? If so this might be my next venture, since Im running out of the cheap mods and gradually are getting more expensive.

Not sure why the GEN3 doesn't get much Fanfare, but I do have it and it has been nearly flawless. The downside, if you wnat to call it that, is you HAVE to do a custom fuel system. The stock fuel bowl will no longer fit. However once that is done, the install of the unit itself is exceptionally easy, and VERY VERY easy to service in the future. I can literally remove mine in about 2 minutes. I have 250cc singles and my Stock/Gen# combo is able to hold 3,000 all day long. Plus it is the least expensive of them all.
