Injectors

I'm going to remove and send in the injectors to get cleaned. Any tips on removing them from a 1990 5.8L EFI?

Pull the fuel rails and pull the injectors out with a twisting motion. The only thing holding them is an oring seal. Where are you going to send them for cleaning?

For not much more $ than that you can get a set of injectors from sumitt racing or jeggs. What if you send them in and they find several bad. For the money I would replace them. Just something to think about.

Witchhunter does some good work. I've sent some motorcycle injectors in for cleaning and you get a chart with the before and after flow rates. It's quite a bit cheaper than buying new injectors.
