So I am coming late to this game, and doing a bit of catch up. I picked up a 2000 Superduty 7.3, low miles and have the fuel tank out and looking at the fuel delivery system. So by my count there are 8 fittings from the tank to the top of the engine, 7 with yellow o-rings and 1 standard fuel filter fitting behind the pump. So my question is multple. Can the yellow o-rings be replaced and how many companies offer a fuel system - rail update to cure the starvation problems. The posts I have read indicate that the fittings before the pump were sucking air. If there are that many connection points are they all leaking or just the ones on the sucktion side of the pump. Thanks for any help.
Generally, it thought that only the ones before the pump are a problem. ITP and other diesel supply sites offer various stages of kits. I just installed an ITP pre-pump kit a couple weeks ago, hutched and harpooned, And it went very well. Many members here are very happy with the CCK from FN74. I'm currenty drawing out and making a parts list for a full system that I intend to put together this fall. I'm going to start with Kwiks in-tank, dual filter water seperators, and regulated return.
