Removing hydralic Lifters

Its on the #5 Itake so it will come right out. I do not want to take the intake off. Are those Hyralic Lifter removal tools long enough to reach down into a FE. Brand new Comp lifters, Plan on going adjustable so I can control preload better. Would they collapse from to much preload? Thanx

The tool will work, I've done it myself, but I couldnt get to all of the lifters, I still had to pull the intake. Be very carefull, if you drop one you'll have to pull the intake.
