Hey Guys,
I have been off the site for a while and was trying to catch back up with some fellas swapin' the front suspension for a 2004 Crown Vic cop car unit.
There was a good thread with links to some pics here somewhere but I can't seem to find it anymore. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.
Thanks for the info Tonk. I hadn't run across those threads. I will be honest though, after I read those I want to go outside and kick my own butt. I had an entire 2004 Crown Vic Cop Car rolling chasis and wacked the front end off and traded the rest cause I didn't know the wheel base was the same. DOLT ! That's the story of my life. A day late and a penny short.
if you still have that front end it should have the aluminum center section that you can, after boxing your frame bolt the cv ifs on to it. The differance in cost for me to get an '02 or new frame is not worth it, or that would be the way i would go and install air bags in the rear.
Yeah, I still have the CV crossmember and that was my intention to install it up front. I just didn't know that the frames where so close in the other respects. Oh well. The current plan is to install the CV cross for IFS, Power steering, and disc brakes. Out back I am going independent as well. There is a guy in Florida that sells a kit that will let you bolt a Thunderbird/Lincoln Indi rear-end out back. That will give me indi and discs at all four corners. With the poplularity of the two car models I should have any trouble getting airbags should I want to get it the rest of the way in the dirt. Although I am pretty sure its gonna be pretty dang low to start with.
