Installation is really not that bad - certainly a DIY thing. The hardest part is the blind reach to get to the open port in the block above the starter.
Well i would disagree. Routing the cord, espcially if you try to follow the factory routing and mount the pins in the frame holes. It is a dirty, grease, mess to deal with that is mostly blind. I did it the factory way so skinned a few places as well as got all that underbody goo all over my arms, etc. Works great and is mounted to last, but a messy job for sure. Pic's in the gallery . . .
For $60 installed I would definitely have them do it. Like Lonewolf said it is a messy job and you will end up with scraped hands/arms. I paid $40 for the cable from my local IH dealer, so $20 to install it seems like a good deal to me (I pay that much to wash the thing).
