Engine Block Heater Cord

So tomorrow night I am going to be putting a replacement engine block heater cord on. The old one has a break right by the plugin so you have to stand there in the freezing cold and slowly bend it around until you hear the heater start. When mine was put in way back they ran the cord out the bottom passenger corner of the grill. I was wondering, where do the cords come out on your trucks? The plugin I have now doesn't have a cover on it, but I'll have one on it with the new one.

Mine's on the driver's side. It's just a matter of where you zip tie the cord to, nothing special.

I got one on the passenger side, and one on the drivers side... Im assuming one is an oil heater? Keep meaning to dig around one day and see where they go...

Maybe one is a battery warmer?

zip tied mine under the drivers door. The running boards keep it clean and there was less junk to avoid when routing the cord. You may have to watch for exhaust pipes tho.

why not just change the plug if the rest of the wire is good?

If I put a new one on then it's too big to tuck inside my winterfront when I'm not using it.
