I've got a computer question. Sometimes when I'm on ebay or even other sites, the'll show a picture box that I can't open. It looks like a small white box with a red X in the center. I tried clicking on the box to veiw the picture but it won't open. A friend said that pictures come in many formats, what ever that means and my computer maybe missing some software. Can someone explain what he means and where and what do I go to buy this software. Oh, my computer is over 5 years old, 256mb ram, 33% free space left on the C drive. I'm not sure if this info helps. Thanks for any replies.
What kind of connection are running? DSL, Broadband , dial up?
it looks like a bandwidth issue, all the data posted from the site is not rendered at your side...meaning the image presence was detected by your browser but was not able to download....

Also some pictures appear as pop ups and my puter won't download them because of pop up stopper.
The link to the picture may be broken however, if you are not getting any pictures then it is a setting on your computer. In windows it is in Control Panel, Internet Options, Advanced tab & look for show pictures as it should be checked.
Sometimes you can right click on the Red X, a window will come up.
Click on "Properties", then copy and paste the picture URL in the Address bar, and hit enter.
If the URL is good, the picture will come up on the monitor.
