Unplugged electrical connections

Alright, just a question. I was looking for my wallet earlier today, and happened to look in the driver's floorboard. While I was looking around, I noticed I have 2 connections unplugged underneath the driver's console. The first is immediately underneath the fusebox, attached to the steel box surrounding the fusebox, and the other is on the right side of the driver's floorboard about 6" to the right of the accelarator. Any idea what they are or why they are unplugged?

they could be some wires that are only used in certain model trucks that maybe your specific truck does not use..... have you tested them with a multi-meter to see if they were live at any point?

No, unfortunately I don't have one. That could be the case... As much as I looked underneath the driver's console, I can't find anything that they could possibly connect to.

my guess would just by un-used wires on your specific model, i have some wires like that on my truck. I am guessing there is one wiring harness for all the trucks, and they just hook up what they need, but that is just my guess

I haven't looked under my dash to see what may be open under there but, what comes to mind would be the wiring connector for the trailer brake controller and the OBDII connector.

Nah, I recognize the OBD II connector. The one I'm talking about is on the floorboard behind the black trim piece on the floorboard in the center console.

Hm. Oh well. Wait until I get a multimeter and then find out, I Guess.
