Alright well Im really confused at this point. I have had this truck for two years and I feel really dumb admitting this but I dont have what I thought I did. When I first got the truck someone explained to me the diffence between late and early 99's. I had the late 99 airbox and door side emblems. Never thought another thing about it. Well today I went to go install the wicked wheel I bought for the late 99. Get everything tore apart getting ready to pull the turbo after fighting it for about and hour and happened to take a second look...it already has the wicked wheel so I come in there and do some research. Spider is of a early 99, turbo is of a early 99. I feel like a idiot.
To determin if it's a "early" or "late" 99' you need to look at the build date sticker on the drivers side door. I am not sure of the cutoff date, but I'm sure someone will post it.
best way to tell is sticker on door post..or spider pipe..every one changes badges and the air box..you cant go by them..the painted spider is a 99.5 the other is the early 99..the boots at the bottom are 2 inches ..the 99.5 are 3...the driver side IC tube on the early 99 spider gets smaller as it go's into the spider..the 99.5 stays a full 3 inches..
While most of the engine and power train specific items happened around 12/1/98 - 12/8/98, many of the "little things" such as the lumbar and badging happened at different times. If your truck was made after 12/8/98, You definitely have a "1999.5."
I just read that link that RogueSpear2023 posted It says that the upgrades to the late 99 were:
Fender badge for the PSD removed, door badge added. --Which I have
Lumbar seat deleted-- I still have mine
Passenger side airbag standard across the line -- I have
Passenger lumbar removed --Its still there
Catalytic converter removal -- Wasnt there
Larger turbo --- mine is smaller
I guess I have in 99.25
hold on Im trying to post a PDF that I have posted before and the board wont let me. Workin on it.......
If No show, then visit my tech folder in my gallery for 99.5 info
Crap, Its still too small to read, just look in my gallery at the Tech Album, and save the pics and resize for your own viewing.

The cut off date for the early 99 is 12-7-98, anything after that will be a 99.5. They changed some of the suspension after 3-1-99, so someone might have the older suspension with the newer motor.
I have the door badges and lumbar support on my " early ". I went through 3 front rotor assemblies before I got it right.
