I baught a 2005 navigator but do not have the 5 digit security code to open the doors. The dealership wants $50 to retreave it. Certainly there has to be another route. $50 is kinda spendy in my mind.
Look in the owners manual. There should be a plastic card with the code on there, otherwise the previous owner might have written it down in there somewhere.
What kind of a dealer is that....? Total rip off. Actually, I have the 2005 Nav and the master number is in the passenger side foot panel if you don't have the card. Look in the owners manual for specifics on how to get to. I will get back with you on the specifics when I find out.
I found mine on the module itself the module on my 99 expy was to the left of the brake pedal and is white/clearish box the size of 2 packs of ciggaretts. The code is on a label with barcode as well....I will go out and look at mine once the kids get out of school...
On my 05 Expedition the code is located in the fuse box by the front passenger's side right foot. You'll probably need a flashlight and really get your head down in there. The code was to the left of the fuses, I think it is in the same place in the Navigators.
Yes My wifes' o6 expey is in the same are and it is locatted on the box that controls the keyless entry system and is also the same color as my expy color.

Piece of cake. Pull the passenger side kick panel out and use a flashlight. Black box located up several inches from the bottom of the dash board.
Took me all of 12 seconds to find mine. The heck with paying $50 to the Stealer!
