On rereading my post I can understand your taking umbrage towards my remarks. I apologize. My sincere apologies if you took it as a personal criticism...that is why I posed my remark as a question about stealerships, not about you. I am proudly NOT on the same team as the stealerships. Once again, I did not mean it as a criticism of you...but of stealerships.
I have been meaning to check mine out on the 01 I purchased last week... just haven't had time yet. Going to try to do the door seal mod to quiet it down a bit as well.
linkford: I have 285's instead of the stock 265's. Go to the michelin website and look up your size of tire and compare the circumference to a stock 265 size, then do the math and find out how much more ground your tire covers, (say in one mile etc.) I done this and as it turns out....for every 20 miles on theodometer I need to add 1 mile before calculating fuel mileage. Example: if your odometer says you've traveled 100 miles then add 5 miles before calculating mpg. This may vary a lot depending on your tire size.
Your bigger tires are going to cost you some mileage and also affect the speedometer. Has the Speedometer been recalibrated to allow for the bigger tires? If you have the automatic transmission also check that it hasn't corrupted the program, that happed to a friend of mine and dealership didn't detect it right away.
