I think it's time to get rid of so many rules and just let them play the game for cyin' out loud! If a team wants to tape another team during a game, let 'em! Shame on others for not looking for the 'competitive edge.' Enough of making more and more rules to make everything we can fairer. News flash, life isn't fair! Breaking into another team's quarters and stealing things, now that's breaking rules but if you want to video tape 'em during a game to try and figure them out to ring their bell, go for it! Oh, wait then they might have to work a little harder for their millions if more rules aren't put into effect immediately!

Maybe I'm wrong (it happens a lot, ask my wife) but I really don't see the problem other than the rule being broken. By that, I mean, what's wrong with doing some homework to outsmart your opponents? Ever heard the expression,"Know thine enemy"? Granted, if it violates the rules then it is cheating but it seems like a goofy rule to me. It's not as goofy as letting the chicken@#!! quarterback slide to keep from getting hit. Hey, if he can't take a hit he shouldn't put on the pads. What's the difference between a coach watching a game that he recorded on his DVR trying to pick up on signals and having somebody videotape the games to pick up on the signals?

Nothing wrong with homework. But, what they did was OJC...On Job Cheating. Akin to cheating on a test at school.
What's the difference between this and when it is done in baseball?
Nothing. Maybe the NFL has more whiners than MLB? Eventually, if every other team was doing the same thing, somebody would come up with another way to communicate plays and then kick the snot out of everybody else since they wouldn't have a clue as to what was coming. Of course, the rules were broken so shame on them. But, to me, pro football has been ruined by some of the rules that have been put in place.
