It takes up above the pinion seal and causes more pressure against the pinion seal. I will look for a thread later and post. It made me scratch my head a little in rethinking.

I am guessing that SRW means single rear wheel. Am I correct?

Alpine6, thanks. I'm curious. The diff is vented, so no air pressure in there, and I wouldn't think there's enough fluid in there to create excess fluid pressure...hmmm. I'd like to read that thread. I'll probably learn something.

lionsteve, yes, SRW = Single Rear Wheel, you are correct.
