Based off the first few digits i think its a 1974 block because "D" stands for the 1970's decade and the "4" tells you the year. The next few letters stand for what vehicle it came out of (i believe??) but i have no clue what they are except i thought a truck was denoted by the letter "T." Hope this helps and maybe someone else will post with more info.
Well the D4AE does mean that the cylinder block was originally designed for a 1974 full size car. But that basic cylinder block would have been used for many more applications and years than that. The cylinder head casting numbers would be more instructive, as would the date codes on both parts. 351Ws had bigger valves 1969-76, I believe, then starting in 77 they got smaller.
This motor would have modest power levels, since it is a 1970s smog detuned version. It might have decent low end torque though.
Maybe someone can interpret the 351 wcp6, I have no idea what this means.
Check at your local library for an old Chilton Manual that covers 1974 models and it will give you the horsepower and torque, and I think compression ratio. It probably won't have cam specs, and also keep in mind that the hp and torque ratings will be "net" so much lower than "gross" listed for earlier engines.
