how do i know my axle ratio there is not a tag on my rear axle that says it in plain english and does any one out there have a 3 speed on the colum?
250+mile 1981 f100 custom 31 inch rear tires lots of rust but i love my truck wouldnt trade it for any thing other than like an 86 300 with a five speed

well i quess i,ll give this a try, nobodyelse has. if your truck does,nt have a locker in it try this. jack up one rear wheel, get to where you can see the yoke on rearend..if you turn the wheel that is off ground two full turns and count how many times yoke turns. that should get ya close. on my 60 f100 two turns of wheel=3 turns of yoke it has 3.00 gears. hope this helps
