SVO86 initiated a thread titled "back bench headrest" a while back. If you search the forum with this title you should be able to find it. I would attach the thread to this one but don't know how. Good luck.
Go to an interior shop and have priced. Otherwise your gonna be doing cutting and welding yourself. Personally I would leave it up to someone else.
You could possibly by headrests from another Ex or Ford truck at a salvage yard to use.
How would these headrests look in the 2nd row and put the 2nd row headrests in 3rd row. These headrests look to be a bit bigger than what we have right now
They look nice to me if you don't mind the headrests size not matching others in your truck. I believe the crewcab trucks have rear headrests that match the Excursion.
I may be wrong. I am sure there are others on this board that can advise.
Ford made a mistake never offering headrests on the rear bench. It is a safety issue and would have been an easy change and not really affected the production costs.
My wife worries each time we have children on the rear bench because of this. It was the same with our Expedition, but a least now if we get rear ended in the Excursion I have several feet between the gate and rear seat. It was a matter of inches in the old Expedition.
