Where is the best place to get one. I saw them on ebay for $209. Not sure about Ford Enhanced Expansion.

Thanks for info. Got one ordered, now I hope I am smart enough to use it. I will be out of town for a few days so maybe it will be here when I get back.

I'm back. Got my auto Enginuity Scan tool today. Loaded software in Laptop, Connected to truck as per instructions. Message said ScanTool could not connect to vehicle. Has anyone had this problem. I do have the Ford enhanced version. HELP!!!

Check the fuses to the cig lighter & power point....

Call AE. I hear the customer service is excellent. I think you talk to the owner/designer when you call. Just what I have heard so who knows.

Ok I got the scanner to work. Got all of these codes. Are some of them because the truck is not running. P0113, P0340, P0344, P0606, & P1280. Any help or do you need more info. Thanks.

Right them all down Then Clear them, Try to start the truck. see what comes back.
The Po606 is the one that scares me Sounds like the PCM is not talking to the IDM and that is why the P01280 Is there.

C1 DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) P0113
  • DTC P0113 (IAT) indicates that the corresponding sensor signal circuit is out of range high.
  • Possible causes:
    • open in harness
    • worn or damaged connection
    • worn or damaged sensor
    • damaged PCM
  • NGS Tester installed.
  • Key on/engine off.
  • Access IATV PID (voltage).
G1 CLEAR AND ATTEMPT TO REGENERATE DTC P0344, P0341 OR P0340
  • Plug in NGS Tester.
  • Clear Continuous Memory DTCs with NGS Tester.
  • Crank engine while monitoring RPM PID.
Does PID indicate crank RPM?

G1 CLEAR AND ATTEMPT TO REGENERATE DTC P0344, P0341 OR P0340
  • Plug in NGS Tester.
  • Clear Continuous Memory DTCs with NGS Tester.
  • Crank engine while monitoring RPM PID.

AJ1 DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) P0606: INACTIVE BACKGROUND FAULT
  • DTC P0606 exists only when there has been an internal failure of the PCM.
  • Rerun Scan Tool Diagnostic Test. Note: If DTC P0606 is retrieved with other DTCs, service all other DTCs first.
Is DTC P0606 still present after all other DTCs have been serviced?

Z1 DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) P1280: ICP CIRCUIT LOW INPUT
  • DTC P1280 indicates injector control signal circuit out of range low was detected during KOEO Self Test or during continuous diagnostic monitoring.
  • Possible causes:
    • biased ICP sensor/PCM
    • open ICP sensor circuit
    • short to SIG RTN or PWR GND on ICP sensor circuit
    • open in VREF circuit
  • Disconnect ICP sensor connector.
  • Key on/engine off.
  • Measure voltage between VREF Pin B and battery ground.
Is voltage reading 5v ±.5?

I cleared all of the codes. Tried to start Truck, rescanned and got P1111 System pass. But truck still no start.

now you need to look at the live data. we need to know what the IPR duty cycle (IPR%) and ICP pressures are.

I don't mean to sound stupid but how do I go about checking live data. I will check back in a little while I have to go pick up my Granddaugther in my Daugthers KIA. I need my truck, lol>

I don't know specifically but you can do it with AE. I want AE but have never used it. Just know that you can get live data with it. Sorry I am not more help.

ICP pressures..
IPR duty cycle %..while cranking....

ICP needs to be 450-500 PSI to involve the IDM..(its Shy)
