exhaust question

Well I final bought my first f-150. I sold the old expy and went for a 2005 FX4. Its a great truck. I bought it used with 28k miles. It has a flowmaster dual exhaust. I went to check how things were looking under the back and saw that a wire harness and what looks to be a small vacuum hose were touching the drivers side pipe towards back of the truck (its about even with the rear axle) and the outer shield on the wire had melted from touching the pipe. The hose apears fine. I electrical taped the wire and gently zip tied the wire and hose to keep them off the pipe.

Is this something that needs to be looked a right away? Does anyone know what the wire and hose are for? I will try to take a pic tomorrow.

Thanks

Hose could be the axle vent and the wires could be for the speed sensor on the rear diff (provided they are still on the rear diff on the F-150s.)

Everything work okay?
