89 f150 5.0 oil pressure seams to be getting lower ever time i drive the truck factory gage right below boat not in red yet. oil seem hot and thin after only 11 miles or so. water temp ok and no noises from engine thinking of doing seafoam then lucas when change oil. and put in mech.gage if it was main bearings would i here somthing .has 150000 on it.
Edit: Also, the pressure indicator is nothing more than a fancy-pants idiot light in these trucks (since 86 I think, correct me if I'm wrong). That means that as long as there is enough oil pressure (like 7psi, I think) the needle will be out of the red zone.
For an accurate reading use a mechanical gauge. If you're using a normally thin oil, try a thicker base, 10w-40 maybe.
Try Rotella-T 15w-40 diesel oil. In an older motor with that many miles, it will help clean things up, and help with the low pressure. When I first got my '90 F150, 302, the oil pressure would drop to practially zero when it was hot and stopped at a stop sign. After a couple of oil changes and 15w-40 Rotella-T, oil pressure was much better and the lifters were quieter too.

INstall good oil pressure gauge, easy to do, then go from there, good oil 15-40 wt, maybe needing new oil pump, had a 72 e150 302 when pressure would drop, new oil and stp, always did the trick, over 3ooooo miles on that motor, yea keep on truckin.............
