Hey guys, I need some help decoding a VIN number. The truck is a 1966 Ford F600 dump truck that my dad recently purchased. It needs some work, but he has no idea what motor is in the truck. The VIN number is: F150CK8TT546. Can anyone help?? Thanks in advance!

Oh, I was going by the VIN code on the insurance card my dad has for the truck. I'll have to look on the actual truck to see what I can find. Thanks for the response.
Getting the number off the truck may be the better idea. I could blow some smoke up your shorts, but we try hard to maintain the high standard that we have set here. This forum has set the benchmark for all of the other sites to try to imitate. You can take what you get here to the bank.
Where do I find the VIN number on the actual truck? There are no stickers in the door panels or VIN tags in the windshield like with most vehicles. We searched it pretty well but couldn't find it.
Look on the driver's door, where it mates to the door jamb.
If not there, look in the glove compartment for the tag.
It could be alongside the radiator support brackets.
If you cannot find it there, it will be stamped on the passenger side frame rail, between the radiator and the engine. You'll need to clean the metal off pretty well to see it, as the numbers are not deeply stamped. Don't use a grinder, but a circular wire wheel is OK.
