Smile How to fix Body rust

I'm a original owner of a 93 Aerostar. It is 2wd, with 69000 mile. It runs great. But it has some rust in the pasenger side's lower edge. The metal for real jack point is rusted very bad. The state inspector said that is a sturcture problem. I don't how and where I can get this fix. Please help!!!

Thanks,

David

body shop or welding shop that specializes in frame repair

the Aero has a semi frame U channel members welded to Unibody floor pan
shop should be able to weld repair plates to good steel on both ends of rusted out section
welding on auto bodies has high fire danger, professionals only

panels are avail. after market for lower body sheet metal

Have the body shop drill holes in the bottom of the rocker panels and seal the holes with a good paint/primer and follow up with underbody coating. This will prevent water from getting trapped inside the panels and rusting them out in the future.

I did it. It is not so diffult, but floor carpets must not bu in the van and fuel tank must be removed too. The proble is to weld thick U-members to tyhin body steel. Not to damadge body with hight temperature use water. Ask anybody to assist you... he can prevent fire :-))
