I have a '97 F250HD CC with dual tanks...I have no owners manual and it seems, when my guage reads empty on both tanks and I fill up, the front takes 15g and the back a little less...14g or so (about 30g total). Just curious to know so I can plan my fill-ups where fuel is a bit cheaper. A 40 minute round trip drive saves about $15 and I can tie it in with other errands and business. Our local fuel station/beer store/restuarant has to be making a lot of money with all the diesels here and no other source for at least 10 minutes (20-30 cents cheaper per gallon) an other 10 miles and I save 50 cents a jug (civilization, no like it). Capacity, stock?
I love this site! Thanks for the immediate responses...I have the 133" wb and an E4od...From your response Coonman (or is it Mr. Coon) the chart shows 22g fr and 18.2 rear...Maybe 150 miles left in the tanks on "E". Thanks again.
normally the 22 front is only the chassis cab trucks, if yours did happen to have that one it would be plastic, give her a knock, you'll find its probably the metal 19
oh and by the way....joe works just fine, and i may have to change my screenname, the guys at work have knicknamed me groundhog since i am tearing them up around the farm, actualy snuck up on on this morning and killed it with my bayonet
109 degrees on my driveway today. My tank is not plastic...19g. It's still good to know I have 7 gallons to work with when I am looking to fuel-up. My wife just asked why I don't use the card-lock place down the road (6 miles away). I'll look in to it Tuesday. DUH. That's only one reason I married her, the rest are private. Thanks again, men. I see no shame in being a Hillbilly...I like Vegas more than Bev Hills tho.
