hey i like my spider...lol, but i would say based on your opinion of mine that your would favor the left side as it has a less aggressive bend to it, and my spiderman pipe, is dirt cheap and will work with the intake upgrade, yours will not as yours seems to be the exact size of the intake and wont accept the larger plenum

yep, but I think its a 2 piece setup come to think of it now, the ram part on the left, and then the piece off the turbo, i think together it was about $120, still cheaper than those intakes from beans!!

well we agree to disagree... J?K I just went that route so that my pipes would all fit perfect since the banks pipes for the intercooler were made for that setup, and not the spider piece

oh, i agree, if you bought the banks pipes you might as well buy the whole kit, it makes no sense to go the other route, but for the intake plenum upgrade yours wont work without getting adapter to go from your 2 inch pipe to the 3 inch intake, mine will be a direct bolt on and a stright through shot instead of my current stepped down version

the 3\4 inch nut on the regulator, unscrew it and pull the spring out, drop the bb in there and put the spring in and the cap, takes longer to open the hood and climb in then it does to do the mod

no its not, that is more involved and you may want to wait till afterwards to do that one, it is in the housing though, in this pic the screen is where the fpr is bolted to the fuel filter housing

Joe I think the early 99's still didn't have the larger intake plenums and the early 99 intake spyder doesn't have 3 inch outlets either does it. its no problem but you won't be able to use the late superduties boots to connect the two. you will still need a reducer boot but it will actually be a expander boot to fit the smaller intake spyder and the larger plenum. I think the early 99 outlets are like 2.5 or so.

you can find those types of boots are turbohose.com or something like that.
