Engine Washing
I did a search and the only thing found was on 5-2007 tndiesel washed his engine using "Simple Green" and several others chimed in but noone stated warnings re do's and don'ts re washing and possibly pending pit falls.
I just want it to run afterwards.

dont hose the air cleaner, dont hose the idm, dont hose the pcm connector, keeping the idm and pcm totaly dry is impossible but dont spray them directly, simple green works good, for tough grease and grime i use wheel cleaner, just dont let it dry on the motor,

idm is the rectangular box bolted to the drivers side inner fender, the pcm connector is on the firewall as the inner fender meets the wall under the brake booster, what you want to spry the crap out of wont get hurt

I agree with the other guys re a clean engine is a happy engine. Who/what doesn't feel good after a bath???
