power washing engine?
I was wanting to power wash my dirty engine in hopes to locate a fuel leak. If I do this when it is cold does anybody see a problem or have a concern? I was going to spray some engine clean on the fuel housing area and valley then power wash it on a low nozzle pressure setting?

Don't power wash it! There are way too many elctronics on our engines. The best thing to do is to use lots of engine cleaner. I use simple green. I do it with the engine just warm not hot. And then rinse with hot water if you can from a low pressure hose. Cold water works just not as well. Everytime I have pressure washed my engine (2 time) it caused problems.

Thanks for info,,,,, did the simple green stuff,,,,, got engine pretty clean,,,now just gotta locate the diesel leak,,,,,,, I am going to park it for 2 days and see if filter cannister drops level,,, might be leaking there from what another post suggested.
